Underground Academy
Underground Academy is UCAC's partnership arm that is designed to serve the community through the intersection of justice and technology. Underground Academy events involve partners in law enforcement, software, and/or community organizations working alongside UCAC personnel to help prevent and fight crime in our region, particularly through web-based open source intelligence work.
The UCAC's Underground Academy Missing and Trafficking Persons (MTP) Team is comprised of a variety of law enforcement personnel and trained civilians who collaborate to assist in missing persons, trafficking, and cold case investigations. The volunteer team is currently full and not accepting applications for new members. If spots become available, the application may be found here.
Keep an eye out here for more information to come after our official Team launch in May!! SC Missing Persons Dashboard coming soon.

This year's Hackathon will be held in Greenville, SC at the UCAC on Thurs-Fri, Nov 14-15, 2024.
Underground Academy's Hackathon '24 will be an opportunity to learn about human trafficking investigations and analytics in a practical setting. Participants will use open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools to identify suspects and provide leads to participating law enforcement agencies. We had a GREAT mix of trafficking survivors, investigators, analysts, and researchers and a very successful 1st Annual Hackathon last year. No experience required; all skill levels are welcome. We can't wait to see you all in November!
